COMMON canvas: Katlin Michael Bourgeois & Community Artists

Saturday, February 19, 2022, COMMON held the third iteration of the COMMON canvas, performing an improvised work led and structured by choreographer Katlin Michael Bourgeois.

COMMON canvas is a series of improvisational dance performances welcoming Chicago dancers from all backgrounds and disciplines. Through canvas, artists connect, create, perform, and get paid in a single day.

The sold-out show featured stunning performances from Chicago-based dance artists Hyun Kim, Ibrahim Sabbi, Sophie Allen, Isabella Limosnero, Lauryn Masciana, Ali Lorenz, Brian Martinez, and Carly Bress.
