COMMON canvas: Alysia L. Johnson & Community Artists

Saturday, November 13, 2021, COMMON held the second iteration of the COMMON canvas, performing an improvised work led and structured by choreographer Alysia L. Johnson.

COMMON canvas is a series of improvisational dance performances welcoming Chicago dancers from all backgrounds and disciplines. Through canvas, artists connect, create, perform, and get paid in a single day.

The show featured stunning performances from Chicago-based dance artists Frances Whitford, Alessandra De Paolantonio, Ali Lorenz, Ingrid Ferdinand, Isabella Limosnero, Mya McClellan, and Timothy Tsang.
