On the first Monday of each month, COMMON shares an email newsletter with a roundup of funding opportunities and artist resources. These tend to be time-sensitive opportunities that can change month-to-month.
In addition to this, we also wanted to create a list of “evergreen” resources for Chicago dancers — places artists can look to for support throughout the year.

The Dancers’ Resource provides: Emotional support for dancers dealing with injuries by providing individual and group counseling; Referrals for healthcare and health insurance; Information and advocacy with workers' compensation and disability insurance; Educational seminars on injury prevention, nutrition and wellness, financial planning and more; Emergency financial assistance; Connection to other dancers to share experiences, resources and advice

Lawyers for the Creative Arts provides free legal services to financially eligible clients in all areas of the arts—visual, music, dance, literary, digital media, arts education, and much more. We help individuals and organizations with business issues, contracts, copyrights, trademarks, and many other legal areas.

A Safe Haven has opened a free medical respite isolation space for COVID-19 positive Chicago adults & families with children who need a safe place to heal.
Whether it’s a conflict with a co-worker, handling a pay issue, or navigating a big job decision, trained peer counselors are just a text message away. Free and confidential.
