New Performance Opportunities for Chicago Dancers

COMMON canvas is a series of improvisational dance performances welcoming Chicago dancers from all backgrounds and disciplines. Through canvas, artists connect, create, perform, and get paid in a single day. Throughout 2021-2022, choreographers Katlin Bourgeois, Alysia Johnson, Braeden Barnes, and Terence Marling will lead four improvisation-based performances.

All artists will be compensated with profits from the performance ticket sales. COMMON will not take any profit from the program.

The first performance will occur at COMMON on Saturday, September 25, featuring a collaboration with Braeden Barnes. For more information on the free auditions or upcoming performance tickets, please follow COMMON on Facebook and Instagram.
